AvtoVAZ says local sales rise 16% to 360,000 cars in 2018

MOSCOW, Dec 29 (PRIME) -- Domestic sales of Russia’s largest car maker AvtoVAZ rose by about 16% to about 360,000 cars in 2018, the company said in a corporate New Year greeting card released on Saturday.

“This year Lada has reached a new level and impressive results,” it said. “Lada occupies … 20% of the market, about 360,000 Lada cars were sold in Russia with Lada Vesta and Lada Granta holding leading positions in the sales ratings.”

In 2017, AvtoVAZ boosted Russian sales by 17% to 311,600 vehicles.
